BPSC Announces Dates for 69th Mains Examination

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially announced the dates for the 69th BPSC Mains Examination, with the examination scheduled for August 2025. This is a significant update for candidates who have cleared the BPSC Prelims 2025 and are now preparing for the Mains stage.

The BPSC Mains exam will consist of 4 General Studies papers, an optional subject, and the Essay paper. The detailed syllabus for each of these sections has been outlined in the official notification. For those who have already started their preparation, it’s important to align their study plans with the specific requirements of each paper, ensuring that they focus on Bihar-specific content, such as the state’s history, culture, geography, and government policies.

The newly updated syllabus for the General Studies papers also includes a significant focus on environmental issues, international relations, and technological advancements—areas that aspirants need to cover for both Prelims and Mains. Additionally, candidates should pay special attention to the Essay paper, which now includes political and socio-economic topics relevant to Bihar’s current development trajectory.
